Monday Madness, Project Italy Day 7

This first edition of Monday Madness comes courtesy of a chance visit to MUD Make-Up Designory Milano.

I was wandering through the Navigli area - one of my favourites so far - and came across the MUD store. I picked up a free copy of MUD ART magazine and was instantly drawn to this look.

Now it's time to recreate it!

Start with Ben Nye cream stick in white.

Then blend.

Contour Ben Nye character shadow.

Then blend.

Using the straight edge of a fine makeup brush like a ruler, outline above the brow and down towards the nose with black eyeliner.

Shade the outer edge of the eye on a diagonal line up towards the black line with Mac eye shadow in Embark.

Fill inside the black lines with Ben Nye cream stick foundation in black then set with Mac eye shadow in Carbon.

Highlight under bottom lash line with Kryolan highlight and set with Mac Mylar eye shadow. Now contour underneath the highlight with Ben Nye character shadow and set with Mac Brown Down eyeshadow.

Braid the side.

Put up the top section of hair in a ponytail about an inch from the hairline. Apply padding around the base of the band and secure with bobby pins, then cover the padding with ends of hair and pin the end into the padding.

Take the back section of hair and put it into a pony tail slightly to the side of the crown area. Put the ponytail into a rough bun and secure with bobby pins.
